Original Artwork by Ann Weber, Sculpture, "Enough, Not Enough", 2003
The vessel shape of the sculpture is inspired by baskets made by the Native American Maidu Tribe of the Sacramento Valley. The California tribes were renown for their skill and beauty in the craft of basket making. It contains forms suggesting abstract vegetables, seed pods, shapes from nature and other things open for individual interpretations.
The sculpture signifies abundance, and the basket mounted on a sphere represents the balancing acts that affect our lives. The artist wants the artwork to have multiple readings.
